• Elephant's who praform in the circus are chained up for about 23 hours a day, from the time they were babies.
• Tens of thousands of wild and domesticated horses from the United States are cruelly slaughtered every year to be used for horsemeat in Europe and Asia. Since the last horse slaughter plants in the U.S. were closed in 2007, thousands of horses have been shipped to Canada and Mexico for slaughter.
• Many studies have found a link between cruelty to animals and other forms of interpersonal violence.
• A fur coat is pretty cool—for an animal to wear. Eighteen red foxes are killed to make one fox-fur coat, 55 minks to make a mink coat.
• Neglect and abandonment are the most common forms of companion animal abuse in the United States.

Animal Abuse Can Be Stopped

Animal Abuse is when an individual willfully, harms or inflicts pain on an animal or bird. In many people's opinion it is seen as very wrong and inhumane to abuse something so precious. Unfortunately, to others it is not a wrongful act, and in fact apart of everyday life. I will admit that I do hunt wildlife, but in a respectful manner. And it is proven to not be the same thing. So as an individual who respects nature and wildlife, I believe we should protect it. In that case, we have to do something to save abused animals, they do not deserve any of the torturing they go threw. For they don't have a voice, but we do.
